WE HAVE DONE IT!!!!!

We are so very pleased to announce that, with 93 days left until we leave for Kilimanjaro, we have reached our fundraising target of £20,000. This target seemed almost as high as Kilimanjaro itself when we first started and we are overwhelmed to have reached it. We would like to thank all our supporters and friends (old and new) for helping us along the way. Breakthrough Breast Cancer will use this money very wisely and it WILL make a difference.

We meet Breakthrough Breast Cancer

On Saturday 27th March we were invited to London to meet the people who work for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The event was called the Crocus Party and was held at One Aldwych, just off The Strand.

It was a lovely afternoon and we got to meet the people behind the scenes, some of the scientists involved in research, other fundraisers and supporters and the Patron of the charity Gabi Roslin.

195 days to go and we are 80% there!

It is just 195 days until we board the plane to Keyna on the first leg of our trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Training has started, fundraising continues and support for the team has never been stronger. Old and new friends are pulling out all the stops to help us reach our fundraising target and we are now at £16,052, so just another 20% until we get there!

We have recently secured a fabulous deal with both Berghaus and Cotswold Outdoor for all the kit we will need to buy and have had some great kit donations from Buffera, the Silk Sleeping Bag Company, Simply Feet and Specsavers.

We have been donated personal training sessions by Bexercise of Bicester and hopefully the results will begin to show very soon and we have been donated a free training weekend by Women go wild Outdoors so will be off to the Brecon Beacons in July for some tough hill walking.

70% of the way there!

We have gone through the £14,000 mark on the fundraising with 8 months left before we leave these ere shores!

£200 came rolling in last night after a presentation to a B2B networking event at Bloxham Mill. All the local business men and women attending generously put their hands in the their pockets and we also came away with some good offers of help for future fundraising.

We were all very nervous about standing in front of them and doing our speech but it was worth it in the end!

50% of target reached

Just three months after the start of our fundraising challenge began and we have gone through the 50% mark. All the girls have been working extremely hard to raise the money and together with the support of many wonderful friends, old and new, £10,000 is already in the kitty.

Well done to everyone involved.
